From Cryptography to Business Model Innovation

Niraj Pant shared his background in “Cryptography,” or the encryption of data for security purposes. He also shared his working experience at Polychain, an investment firm that sparked his vision for further innovation. Pant sought ways to utilize Cryptography and Distributed System technologies to develop a Protocol that could serve as a profitable Business Model for his company, Ritual.

Pant also highlighted the opportunity to enhance AI's decision-making capabilities by combining AI advancements with cryptocurrency features like self-sovereign identity, identification, and monetization.

Ritual: Empowering Smart Contract Developers

Ritual is a technology company that provides tools for smart contract developers to seamlessly integrate AI models into their products. It addresses various challenges, including API usage for both on-chain and off-chain models, ETH payments, privacy, transparency, and data integrity.

Pant discussed AI applications for cryptocurrency, such as interacting with blockchains using natural language, generating NFTs, improving DeFi and customizing games based on user preferences. He emphasized the importance of balancing centralization and decentralization. Ritual's approach involves two phases:

• Infernet: An open-source oracle system for integrating AI into EVM-based blockchains.
  
  
• Ritual Chain: An execution settlement system for tightly coupling AI semantics in smart contracts.

Elevating AI Applications with “Ritual Chain”

Ritual Chain is a structure designed to support AI applications and enhance DeFi transparency. It enables AI governance, interaction between AI applications, and provides a layer that accommodates AI applications of various sizes.

Pant emphasized the potential of AI agents for automation and user empowerment. However, he also acknowledged the need for further research to ensure that this technology fosters creativity without negatively impacting investments.

He also illustrated how AI can improve DeFi management through automatic parameter adjustments, such as collateral factors based on market conditions, and protect users from unnecessary risks. Ritual is designed to support various proof systems, including KML, optimistic proofs and trusted execution environments, allowing for customized proof system selection for each case.

In closing, Pant announced the summer launch of Ritual's devnet and Ritual Chain (phase two), empowering smart contract developers to create powerful AI applications. This represents an opportunity for the company to introduce new protocols, led by a team with a strong venture capital background.

Pant expressed excitement about Ritual's potential to launch new protocols in the AI-crypto space and collaborate closely with the team building the Ritual platform.
