Senior Backend Engineer (3-6 Months Contract)
Job Summary:

Architect, design, and implement backend systems with a focus on scalability, reliability, and security.
Lead integration with external partners such as banks, payment processors, digital asset exchanges, custody platforms (e.g., Fireblocks), KYC/AML providers, and blockchain infrastructure.
Design and maintain APIs and services to support multiple client applications.
Establish and enforce best practices for coding, security, testing, and deployment.
Monitor system performance, diagnose bottlenecks, and optimize for efficiency.
Drive technical discussions and mentor junior and intermediate engineers.
Collaborate with stakeholders to define and deliver new product features.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
Strong proficiency in Node.js and TypeScript.
Deep understanding of database design and performance tuning (SQL & NoSQL).
Experience in architecting distributed systems and working with microservices.
Strong background with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure), containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and CI/CD pipelines.
Proven experience integrating with external APIs and complex partner infrastructures.
Solid knowledge of security best practices in financial applications, including data protection and compliance requirements.
Strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.
